- Design, build, and maintain a device-health monitoring platform (Python, PostgreSQL, React) that ingests telemetry from 20,000+ IoT devices deployed in hospitals nationwide, automatically detecting connectivity failures, battery degradation, and calibration errors, and emails a weekly system-health report. Replaced a manual, multi-department monitoring process with this single automated system.
- Reduced on-site device maintenance time from roughly 5 minutes to about 5 seconds per device by designing and building a BLE device pairing and relay tool, with a background daemon securely streaming real-time device state to our server over WebSockets, cutting time on-site for the company's entire field technician team (6 technicians). Packaged the BLE service as a standalone macOS installer for easy updates.
- Saved hundreds of hours of manual work each year by redesigning wearable device assignment from a manual, one-at-a-time process into a self-service bulk scanning system, enabling teams across departments to assign thousands of devices to users simultaneously.
- Developed and support an internal operations platform (FastAPI, React, PostgreSQL) for reporting, device maintenance, and calibration analysis, querying directly against a 146 GB production TimescaleDB ingesting tens of millions of device telemetry events and balancing database load on a high-volume production system.
- Contribute to the company's production web application (NestJS, AWS Cognito, PostgreSQL), including porting my internal tooling directly into core platform functionality.
